1. LOGO DESIGNA

 

DESIGNA is the ability where students can explore their creativity and showcase their talents by their innovations.

Rules

  • Logo must promote the mission of ICT PROJECT KVS CHENNAI REGION.

  • Design should be universal in theme, highlighting all the features of ICT Project.

  • Color:  There are no limitations and any colors may be used. However, logo must look good in color (if any) and black and white. Size of design should not exceed 5MB.

  • Integrity:  Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. Logos must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published. Must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small formatting.

 

Round #1

 

  • The competition would be conducted at two levels;

                Secondary level (VI- VIII)

                Higher Secondary Level ( IX-XII)

  • Entries must be submitted as a JPEG by e-mail. Entries must have School Name, Student Name, Class and Admission Number.

  • For each level there may only  be one entry from each school.

  • Entries must confirm to the Submission Guidelines set out below. Entries which fail to do so will be rejected.

  • The deadline for entries is midnight (IST) on 15 April 2015 .

 

2. IMPROMPTU

 

  • Everyone needs to learn code in this computerized world. This is the place where young Steve Jobs and Bill Gates were given a chance to compete against other techies in C, C++ ,Java programming.

  • Both input and output format are crucial. Adhere to them precisely to avoid getting solutions judged as wrong.

  • Program can be written in C, C++ or JAVA.

  • The on-line help in the compilers may be used, but no web browser be used, neither for local nor for other sites.

  • Competitors should not log out of their computer for the duration of the contest.

 

Round  #1 : Vidyalaya level : ( Time 30 Mins)

One student will be selected on the basis of offline test conducted in the Computer Lab.

 

Round #2 : Venue (Time 30 Mins)

Final round of selection for all candidates to filter 5 best for the further round to select the winner.

 

3. WEBWEAVE

 

Webweave encompasses many different skills and disciplines in the designing of the websites. The term web design is normally used to describe the design process relating to the front-end (client side) .

Rules

  • The website must be a static website with at least 5 pages.

  • Any webpage editor may be used to create the web pages.

  • The submission of the web pages would be done through the link sent with the e-mail.

  • The maximum size of the website should not exceed 100MB.

  • Integrity:  Website cannot contain copyrighted material. Website must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Website may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published.

 

Round #1 ( Time Frame ) Vidyalaya Level

  • The competition would be conducted at two levels;

                    Secondary level (VI – VIII)

                    Higher Secondary level (IX- XII)

  • There may only be one entry submitted by each category.

4. DEBUGGING

 

The contest will test the programming skills of the participating members. The participants are supposed to crack the bugs in C & C++ programs.

Round  #1 : Vidyalaya level :( Time 30 Mins)

One student will be selected on the basis of offline test conducted in the Computer Lab.

 

Round #2 : Venue (Time 30 Mins)

Final round of selection for all candidates to filter 5 best for the further round to select the winner.

 

5. JUST FLASH

 

Topic : Use Of ICT In Teaching- Learning Process

 

Round  #1 : Vidyalaya level :( Time 120 Mins)

One student will be selected on the basis of offline test conducted in the Computer Lab.

 

Rules :

  • A short animation film may be developed using any of the animation software given below :

  • Adobe Flash Software.

  • Alice

  • GreenFoot

  • Autodesk ( Maya )

 

The time duration shall be not more than 20 minutes.

 

Entries must be submitted as a SWF, FLV,FLA files by e-mail. Entries must have School Name, Student Name, Class and Admission Number.

For each level there may only be one entry from each school.

Entries must confirm to the Submission Guidelines set out below. Entries which fail to do so will be rejected.

The deadline for entries is midnight (IST) on 15 April 2015 .

 

6. MATHWIZ

     

MathWiz is a web-based event designed for participant which includes plethora of problems posed from various arena of Mathematics.

 

MATHWIZ BRAINTEASER

The questions used will be mathematical, logical, and lateral thinking .

Participants will compete in teams of 3-5 to answer a set of questions, each worth a number of points.

At the end, the top three teams will enter a final round to compete for the top prizes.

 

Format

1. Each team can have 3 to 5 members.

2. Each question has a time limit based on the difficulty of the brainteaser. At the end of each round, the team must submit the answer to a checker, who will then validate their answer.

3. The checker has final discretion on whether a team's solution is correct or not.

4. A correct answer will correspond to a certain number of points. At the end of the sequence, the three highest-scoring teams will enter the final round.

5. The final round is one question- the order that the answer comes in will determine the rankings.

6. The winning team gets a prize!

 

7. VIDEO MAKING

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Videos must be in one of the following formats

  • The videos must be of maximum 5 minutes.

  • The submission of the Videos would be done through the link sent with the  e-mail.
