IMPORTANT  DATES / RULES

 

   The deadline for the TECH FEST 2015 Competition are as follows:

 

            Vidyalaya Level                  30th April 2015

          Regional Level                   07th August 2015

 

 

 

  • The competition would be conducted at two levels;

    Secondary level (VI – VIII)

    Higher Secondary level (IX- XII)

  • Entries must be submitted by e-mail. Entries must have School Name, Student Name, Class and Admission Number.

  • There may only be one entry submitted by each category.

  • Entries must confirm to the Submission Guidelines set out below. Entries which fail to do so will be rejected.

  • The deadline for entries is midnight (IST) on 15 April 2015.

1. How to conduct the competition at the Vidyalaya level ?

The class teacher shall identify the students who are interested to participate and submit the names       (2 No.s)  to the computer Incharge. The computer Instructor may brief the students about the rules and  regulations of the event for both the levels.

 

2. Where to conduct the competition ?

The competition  shall  be conducted  in the Vidyalaya computer lab.

 

3. How to select the best at the Vidyalaya level ?

The computer Instructor along with an expert shall judge and finalize the best two best in both levels separately based on the specified criteria.

 

4. How to send the results of the Vidyalaya Level Competition ?

A DVD containing the final best LOGO, WEB DESIGN , ANIMATION AND VIDEO MAKING must reach the Venue Vidyalaya (KV Ashok Nagar, Chennai ) on or before 20TH April, 2015. The format is already specified in the earlier letter.

 

IMPROMPTU , DEBUGGING (IX-XII)

 

1. How to conduct ‘IMPROMPTU‘, ‘DEBUGGING’ the at the Vidyalaya level ?

Since the competition involves coding ( C/C++/Java), it can be held only for classes VIII-XII. The computer instructor has to conduct an offline test at the Vidyalaya level to identify young programmers. The offline question paper may be set at the vidyalaya level by the instructor itself.

 

2. How many students shall be selected ?

1 student shall be selected based on the scores obtained in each competition.

 

MATHWIZ  (IX-XII)

 

1.What is the team size ?

A team consisting of 3 members shall be selected at the Vidyalaya level based on an offline math quiz involving logical, lateral thinking, brain teasers, maths problems.

 

2. Who shall conduct the competition ?

This competition can be conducted for classes IX-XII by the maths department to select the best candidates. An offline questionnaire may be prepared by the Maths wizards in the Vidyalaya to select the best team.

A documentary film on the Vidyalaya may be shot with the help of video/audio/editing softwares.

Regional Level ( Final Selection )

 

The selection for the Regional Level ( Event- wise ) will be intimated by 21st April, 2015. The selected candidates shall report on 24th April,2015 at the Venue Vidyalaya to participate in the Regional Level ICT competition FINALE.
