KVASN COMPTECH ’16

 

                To equip and raise the awareness of the enormous digital divide that exist and to try to increase access to information technology it has been planned to conduct various competition for the students of class VI to X. In order to enhance the use of ICT in schools and for better learning in an interesting way, the event is to be begun with an inaugural ceremony of the ISSC (ICT Student Support Council) and release of the COMPTECH ’16 poster under the guidance and support of the Principal & Regional ICT Coordinator Shri. Prabhakaran P M.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. PAPER PRESENTATION

 

• The paper should be delivered in the form of PPT.

• Minimum 10 slides.

• Individual participation

• The softcopy of the paper should be mailed to kvasncomptech16@gmail.com

 

  2. WEB DESIGNING

 

• Individual participation.

• The website must be a static website with at least 4 pages.

• Any webpage editor may be used to create the web pages.

• The time for designing the website will be 2 hours.

• Image, Audio and video can be used in the website.

• Aesthetics, design & presentation of the website is very important.

• Students can bring their image, Audio, Video which will be used for developing their website

 

  3. GREETING CARD DESIGNING

 

• Contestant can design in Adobe Photoshop or GIMP (Class  VIII to X). Microsoft Word for class VI & VII.

• Individual participation

• The final greeting card design should be submitted in jpg format

• The greeting card designing will be on “Christmas Or New Year Celebrations 2017”

• The greeting should be designed in A4 which includes both front and back page design.

 

  4. SHORT FILM

 

• Contestant can use any software for editing the movie made by them.

• 5-6 contestants will be entertained in one group.

• Videos must be in one of the following formats .MP4, .MOV, .MPEG

• The short film should be of maximum 10 minutes.

• Integrity:  Video cannot contain copyrighted material. Video must have been created and edited by the contestant(s). Video may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published.

 

  5. DEBATE

 

• 2 best students will be selected from each class after the scrutiny round and the selected student will be divided into two groups.

• The topic will be on Internet/ Cyber Crime/ Ethical Use of ICT/ Technology a boon or bane/ ICT in Education etc

 

  6. FLASH

 

• Contestant should bring all the gadgets and software whichever required.

• Individual participation

• A short animation film may be developed using any of the animation software

• The time duration shall be not more than 5 minutes

• The animated movie must be submitted as a SWF, FLV, FLA files

• Own concept can be taken up for making animation movie

 

  7. DANCE WITH ICT

 

• The theme should be based on ICT and Information Technology.

• 5-6 contestants will be entertained in one group

• All the participants should be from the same class

• Appropriate property, banners, charts can be used wherever required.

• The duration should be of max of 10 min.

  8. QUIZ

​

• There will be a preliminary round for shortlisting the students.

• Final round will have four teams.
