On 27th April 2015, A Induction program from Pondoly was held in the Vidyalaya for all th sections of Class VI. The programme helped the children to learn the lessons with the help of videos and games which is available in the E-Learning website "Pondoly". Shri. P. M. Prabhakaran, Principal KV Ashok Nagar, graced the occassion with a inspirational speech and give some tips how to get succeed in life and gave some tips how to make an effective use of ICT in education.

On 29th April 2015, ICT club was introduced for the academic year by the Principal and the office bearers were selected by the ICT members of the vidyalaya.

On 30th April 2015, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ashok Nagar conducted the vidyalaya level competitions for "Tech Fest" namely Logo Designa, Web Weave, Just Flash, Video Making,Debugging, Impromptu and Mathwiz for all the Kendriya Vidyalayas in Chennai region.

On 25th July 2015, A workshop on "Ethical Hacking" was conducted for class XI & XII students to cater the information about Hackers, Hacking, Cyber crime, Cyber law & Ethics

On 07th Aug 2015, An innovative programme KVS ICT TECH FEST’15 for KVS Chennai Region was was hosted by Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ashok Nagar on 07.08.2015. This was in lieu of the ICT Project spearheaded by Shri. S.M. Saleem, Deputy Commissioner, KVS Chennai Region, Dr. Uma Sivaraman, Assistant Commissioner, KVS Chennai Region & Shri. P. M. Prabhakaran Regional ICT Co-ordinator & Principal of KV Ashok Nagar. More than 250 students from 43 different Vidyalayas participated in various competitions like Logo Designa, Web Weave, Just Flash, Video Making,Debugging, Impromptu and Mathwiz. Shri P.R. Venketrama Raja, Vice Chairman,MD & CEO Ramco Systems was the Chief Guest for the Valedictory Function. Mr.Srinivasa Raghavan, Senior Director, NIC, Scientist 'F' delivered a talk on the "Role of ICT in Education". Shri. P.M.Prabhakaran, Principal, KV Ashok Nagar who heads the ICT Project Committeelaid down his plans for the forthcoming years in integrating ICT with curriculartransaction. The day ended with the prize distribution ceremony.

On 19th Sept 2015, A special session for all the Kendriya vidyalya teachers in Chennai Region was conducted & motivated by Shri. P. M. Prabhakaran, Regional ICT Co-ordinator & Principal Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ashok Nagar for preparing the "ICT Excellence Award 2015-16". The schools where the program was conducted are KV Island ground, Minambakkam, HVF Avadi, OCF Avadi, CRPF Avadi, AFS Avadi, DGQA, Tambaram No1, Tambaram No 2, KV Anna Nagar, KV Gill Nagar, Kalpakkam No1 & Kalpakkam No 2.

On 16 & 17th Nov 2015, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ashok Nagar organized "Surf Smart Training Program" for all the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Chennai Region.

On 19th Nov 2015, a one day workshop for creation of blogs was conducted for all the teachers in the primary section under the supervision and guidance of the Principal Shri. P. M. Prabhakaran. The main motto of the workshop was knowledge sharing through blogs and assign activities to the students such as Test, Home task during holidays.

On 30th Nov 2015, A training session on "Surf Smart" was conducted for all the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ashok Nagar by Dr. Amarnath Reddy PGT (Eco) sharing the tips how to surf the internet safely, how to give a strong password etc. The session was very useful for all the teachers and also an eye opener for further surfing the internet in a smart manner.

On 20th Feb 2016, The preliminary round of assessment was made for the ICT Excellence Award - 2016 for Teachers by a team of 09 judges on 20.02.2016 at Kendriya Vidyalaya Ashok Nagar, Chennai.

Preparation for "ICT Excellence Award Ceremony 2017" at School level and Regional level .

KVS ICT Project - Phase III on "Resource Management" at Regional level for primary, secondary, senior secondary.

A mega fest - COMPTECH '16 for the students of class VI to XI with eight technical events - Paper Presentation, Web Designing, Greeting Card Designing, Short Film, Debate, Animation Movie, Quiz & Dance with ICT.

On 29 Feb 2016, The final round ICT Project presentation will be held for the short listed nominees in the library hall of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Ashok Nagar, Chennai.

On 04 April 2016, The students of class VII & VIII were taken to a Industrial visit to a banner designing company.

On 11 July 2016, A mega ICT exhibition was conducted for the students of class VI to VIII on 11.07.2016 under the super guidance and support of Shri Prabhakaran P M Regional ICT Coordinator & Principal Kendriya Vidyalaya Ashok Nagar. The occasion was graced & inaugurated by the Chief Guest Shri. Mervin Alexander, IPOS Postmaster General, Chennai City Region. The exhibition was specially conducted for the students of class VI to VIII to develop the scientific temper among the students and gain knowledge on latest ICT technology. The motto of this mega ICT exhibition is to make the students to “learn with a difference”. 48 Innovative models were exhibited which invoked the latent creative skills.Students from different classes visited the exhibition and gathered information about different technologies like Mobile Communication, Wireless technology, GPS, Wi Fi, Bluetooth, IARS Robots & Cellular Telephony, AI etc.

On 27 July 2016, Kidobotikz conducted a training session for all the secondary & senior secondary students and prizes were distributed to winners. Master Adhavan of class IX B, Master Sudharsan of class VIII B & Master Soham Kumar Dash were the winners of the event which was conducted in the school premises.

On 29 August 2016, There was an online quiz competition conducted for "Azadi 70 - Yaad Karo Kurbani" by Mr. R. Praveen for the selection of students in Preliminary round.

On 27 October 2016, A brief session on "Ethical use of ICT" was given by the IT experts and Professor.

On 10 November 2016, The registration was begun for the Comptech '16 which is a fest organized in school level with 8 technical events for the students of class VI to XI.
